Whittet Kikuyu (Kikuju)
is the most popular homelawn in South Africa. lt's got reasonable low maintenance and has wide adaption to wet and dry conditions. Excellent ability to respond to fertilizer(especially nitrogen). Cold tolerance is fairly good. Forms a thick carpet, and apart from home lawns, it is also popular on rugby fields and horse-riding tracks.

Sowing density:
- Kikuyu Whittet normal seed: 3-5 g/m² - 30-50kg per Hectare
- Encapsulated Kikuyu Whittet seed: 8 gm/m² - 80kg per Hectare
Sowing season: Autumn or spring.
Applications:
- Sports fields
- Residential lawns
- Rehabilitation of environmental surfacing.
